Newbies Guide
First off, I want to welcome you to The Wizarding Network! I'm so glad you decided to join us, and I hope this guide will help you get started on this amazing journey. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, Lotus, at any time.
STEP ONE!
Register here at WN! It's recommended that you use either the first name of your character, or their nickname. We prefer you don't register with a username like ximawizard2013x.
STEP TWO!
Change your display name to your character's full name as it would be stated on their Wizard Birth Certificate! For instance, we prefer your name be displayed as Jane Rose Doe vs J.R. Doe, or Jane D. or Janey Doe. This can be changed via Bio > Edit Profile > Personal.
STEP THREE!
Read WN's important information!
STEP FOUR!
Decide what type of character you want! Create a character you'll love and want to stick with. Don't forget to read any guidelines concerning your character type.
STEP FIVE!
Write your bio! Take your time with your bio and get creative, there's really no rush. WN prefers quality over quantity. Get to know your character, show us what makes them tick, what drives them to do what they do. Give us some substance. Don't just create a boring wallflower, create someone that you want to write as.
STEP SIX
Post your Bio! Make sure to title it like so: Last Name, First Name Middle name. EX: Doe, Jane Rose
STEP SEVEN!
Wait to be accepted. It usually takes anywhere from 24-48 hours to be accepted. While you're waiting:
- Get your claims and registrations in
- Introduce yourself!
- Join or create new discussions in our OOC off-topic board!
- Play post games in our OOC board!
STEP EIGHT!
Once you're accepted, you can start role-playing!
STEP NINE!
Develop your characters and plots further!
